If your dog, cat, or ferret is four months of age or older and lives with you in Hillsborough County, you need to get a pet registration tag for them.
You have the option to register for a tag that is valid for up to 3 years.
Residents with service dogs can request registration tag fees to be waived. Residents requesting waived registration fees must fill out the Request for Waiver form and mail or drop off to Pet Resource Center , along with a copy of the service dog's current, official rabies certificate signed by a Florida veterinarian. You must renew your pet's registration tag before its expiration to ensure records are up to date. To renew you will need the original tag receipt and/or pet's rabies certificate. See the Pet Resources Fees for the cost of tags.
